The CH₃SH sensor uses electrochemical sensing technology to detect and measure CH₃SH concentrations in ambient air. Methyl mercaptan gas diffuses into the sensor and undergoes electrochemical oxidation at the sensing electrode, generating an electrical current proportional to the concentration of CH₃SH. This signal is measured and converted into concentration values, enabling accurate real-time monitoring of methyl mercaptan levels.
