The VOC sensor module can accurately measure low concentrations of Volatile Organic Compounds at ppb level in the ambient air. The sensor module design is capable to monitor the VOC emissions from point sources on a real-time basis.
The advanced support electronics of this air quality sensor makes it compact and reliable. The low noise electronics allows stable and accurate detection of carbon monoxide even at very low concentrations in the atmosphere.
The VOC sensor module works on the photoionization detector (PID) technology. PIDs can measure Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) to very low concentrations. Considered the gold standard for VOC measurement, the VOC sensor is compact and low power, with recently improved electronics and longer lamp life. Additionally, the improved 10.6 eV lamp and particulate filter allow the sensor to achieve lower detection limit up to 1 PPB.
Standard calibration gases and tools are used to calibrate VOC sensor. The calibration is in accordance with the USEPA (40 CFR Part 53) and EU (2008/50/EC) defined for equivalent method instruments.
Odour monitoring systems like Odosense Smart and Odosense Pro use the VOC sensor module. Therefore, this module is ideal for applications like City Air Quality monitoring, Roadside Monitoring, Oil and Gas perimeter monitoring, Powerplant perimeter monitoring and air quality research projects.
