Our sensing technology works on proven working principles like NDIR, PID, Electrochemical Analysis, Semiconductor, Optical Measurement. As a part of our proprietary ‘Micro Active Sampling’ (e-breathing technology), we have a sophisticated suction-and-exhaust system for air sample collection and monitoring inside a controlled environment. This isolates the effect of external environment on measurement to achieve 13% higher accuracy than the industry standards.
Electrochemical – The gaseous emission is treated electrochemically, where an external potential is applied. Each species like H2S, NH3, Cl2, CH3SH, etc. is identified depending on their oxidation or reduction potential.
NDIR – The gases emitted from the location undergoes Nondispersive Infrared Radiation where the sample air is subjected to infrared radiation. Different gaseous molecules absorb IR at different frequencies. The amount of IR absorbed gives the volumetric concentration of each gaseous constituent. (CO2, CH4)
PID – Photoionization detection method is used to quantify TVOCs present in the sample. Highly energized UV photons bombard the molecules, which ionize and make them positively charged. These ionized molecules, in return, produce an electric current which gives a volumetric concentration of the molecules. Higher the current generated, higher is the gaseous concentration in the sample.
Laser Scattering – The sensor emits a laser beam to diffract through the air sample collected in the equipment. The intensity of the beam scattered from the particles provides particle size distribution and concentration data.
The first one is by using our Air Quality Software – Envizom. It is equipped with below features:
- User-friendly interface
- Smart alerts and reports
- Real-time data
- Set thresholds to automate the integrated systems
- Easy to set up
Another way to access the dust data is using secured HTTP/MQTT APIs. The data can be published on Public Displays, Smart TVs, Websites (using widgets), and Mobile Apps by using the APIs

Pollusense FAQs
Portable air quality monitoring refers to mobile, compact devices that can be used to measure air pollutants in different locations. Unlike stationary, portable monitors can be easily moved, providing flexibility in tracking air quality across various environments.
Stationary monitors are fixed in one location and provide continuous air quality data for that specific area. Portable monitors, like Pollusense, are designed to be mobile, allowing for air quality measurements in multiple locations over time.
A portable monitor is useful for anyone needing to measure air quality across various locations, such as industries, fenceline monitoring, livestock, mining, environmental auditing, or EHS management. It allows for quick spot-checks, identification of pollution hotspots, and the ability to compare air quality across different environments.
Pollusense has user-friendly features, making it simple to set up, operate, and collect data with a plug-and-play design intuitive interface. Users can get started with minimal technical expertise.
Pollusense measures common pollutants like particulate matter (PM1, PM2.5, PM10 PM100), gases, and noise.
