Our Client
To make Palava the Most Livable City in India, the authorities needed a comprehensive air monitoring solution to create awareness about the environmental health of the Palava Campus. Oizom deployed Air Quality Solution at strategic locations. The authorities were able to create awareness amongst the citizens on the ambient air quality and offer suggestive actions. Through data-driven decision, the impact of air pollution reduced by up to 10% in Palava.
The Challenge
Palava is designed to be a smart city with its meticulous planning. The city aims to become the smartest city in India by implementing advanced and intelligent solutions. The Palava City Management Association (PCMA) comprises of the citizens of Palava and expert city administrators who are responsible for the whole urban planning and well-being of the residents. Along with making Palava a cleaner and greener city, the authorities also aim to educate the citizens about the environment. This calls for environmental monitoring to create awareness among the public of the current pollution level. Hence, it became PCMA’s mission to monitor the air quality of the city strictly.
The Solution
To help PCMA, Oizom deployed Polludrone across the city to monitor its ambient condition. Polludrone monitors all the critical pollutants of an urban city. Oizom installed Polludrone at strategic locations to effectively capture the pollutants for their evaluation. It captures data for the city’s dust pollution, gaseous pollutants dispersed in the environment, as well as the ambient conditions like temperature, humidity level, noise, light intensity, etc. For the PCMA admins to view the data, we set up the Oizom Terminal. The cloud-based application helps visualize the hourly/daily/monthly AQI data in a user-friendly manner. The admins can define intervals for data acquisition as per their requirement. To spread public awareness, Oizom set up displays to show both the real-time and 24-hour average data of Palava’s air quality. Oizom designed customized screens for LED TVs that presented the air quality data with a superior tech stack.
The Result
Through Oizom Polludrone, PCMA can provide a smart solution for making the environment understandable to its citizens. Data-driven actionable insights were provided to the public via displays, mobile apps, web widgets, etc. by showing them the pollution level and suggesting preventive actions to be taken. This measure helps the city in providing a healthier lifestyle.
