Oizom’s Odosense and Weathercom are monitoring the air quality and odour levels in Dubai’s Waste Water Treatment Plant.
Waste Water Treatment
Odour pollution in the form of Hydrogen Sulfide was a major problem at the Sanford Waste Water Treatment Plant. The city administrators did not have data to identify and correlate with the complaints raised by nearby citizens. Oizom’s odour monitoring solution was deployed with real-time data visualization at the WWTP. Oizom’s partner Metersys were empowered
Elemental chlorine is a highly reactive, greenish-yellow gas. It has a suffocating, irritating, and pungent bleach-like odour that is detectable at low concentrations (above 0.3 – 0.5 ppm). Therefore, continuous or high-level exposure of the Cl2 can quickly deaden a person’s sense of smell, making the odour of Cl2 an unreliable indicator of its presence.
Through Oizom Odor Monitor Odosense, the inconvenience from STP odour dispersion in the Palava Campus was reduced significantly by suppressing the odour.
