Definition

Root mean square error (RMSE) indicates the accuracy of the prediction by the calibration model. It is calculated as the square root of the mean squared terms of the difference between the individual predicted value(pi) and individual reference value(yi). The number of data points taken for averaging is denoted by n.

RMSE = √[Σ(yi − ŷi)² / n]
